Dolcetto d’Alba

Originating from the hills of the Langhe, this Dolcetto d’Alba faithfully reflects the essence of its native grape variety, Dolcetto, cultivated in soils characterized by clay, silt, and sand. The vineyards, with an average age of 30 years, offer an average production of 75 quintals per hectare.

Winemaking is carried out in red, with submerged cap maceration and daily pump-overs, followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures and maceration for 4-5 days. The malolactic fermentation, which follows the alcoholic fermentation, enriches the wine with its typical softness.

Aging in stainless steel for 5-6 months and subsequently in the bottle for another two months contributes to creating harmony of flavor and aromas.

The Dolcetto d’Alba presents itself with an intense and brilliant garnet red color, enriched with violet reflections. On the nose, there are clear and broad notes of cherry, blackberry, and rose. The taste is equally broad and well-defined, with hints of cherry, blueberry, and rose, accompanied by a full, harmonious, and warm body, with a persistent and slightly bitter finish, but extremely pleasant.

This wine pairs beautifully with meat dishes and cheeses, offering an extraordinary expression of the Langhe territory in every sip.
