Barolo Menico
The Barolo MENICO is a true gem of Piedmontese winemaking, emblematic of the Langhe tradition. This wine, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, comes from vineyards with an average age of 30 years, cultivated on soils characterized by a balanced composition of clay, silt, and sand.
The winemaking process involves red fermentation with daily punch-downs. The controlled temperature fermentation lasts from 20 to 25 days, and the subsequent malolactic fermentation enhances its structure
The wine matures in small oak barrels for 15 months, then in 25 HL barrels for another 10 months, before finishing its refinement in the bottle for an additional 12 months before being released. This maturation cycle gives the wine a unique gustatory and aromatic complexity.
In appearance, the Barolo MENICO presents itself with a bright and intense garnet red color, enriched by delicate orange reflections. On the nose, it releases a clean and broad aroma, with enveloping notes of plum, violet, cinnamon, cherry, and licorice. On the palate, it manifests as full, harmonious, and warm, with a persistent and pleasant aftertaste.
Perfectly paired with main courses, white meats, and game in general, the Barolo MENICO is the ideal choice for a special occasion or a refined meal. A wine that fully embodies the richness and nobility of Piedmontese winemaking.
